you don’t need me to tell you that you rock, but . . . you rock. was the 200 all in one day?
[...] Now, the rear brake/shifter assembly has finally degraded to the point where it wont hold a gear. Sticks on the downshift and constantly jumps gears. I rode through grand tour with this fickle autoshifting disorder & I’m certainly not willing to do all that death ride climbing with the chain jumping. [...]
[...] Did the ride this year on my own trusty aluminum trek frame. Knocked 40 minutes off last year’s time & rode the course on a double (using a SRAM 11-2 instead of last year’s borrowed carbon fiber Kestrel triple. Suffered less this year using less gears, so that’s good fitness progress. Did a much better job with nutrition in the saddle than grand tour. Good ride. [...]
